My husband Tommy has been an amazing strength to Chloe and me. He called me at 10:30 last night super excited that they have turned her oxygen levels way down because she's breathing so well on her own. She opened her eyes wide, pointed with her bound arms to her legs, and mouthed cold. Her fever went up to 101 right before I left her around 8:30ish. Tommy has been with her all night and is such a positive and amazing father. I know I use I a lot as I write, but he is my editor and cowriter through this and life.
I want to thank our two sets of parents, none could be more supportive than ours. Sharon and Tom are saints for helping me with the girls and washing stinky Scooter. I know there is a lot of truth when my husband complains that I am controling. Sharon and Tom smile, listen to my crazy organic and early bedtime demands, and never question them -thank you for being so patient with me. My Dad was with us yesterday, and I know it was very hard on him. Dad remember to take care of yourself, too. My mom and dad have been so helpful as well, and we appreciate it more than you all know.
To all of our friends, family, bloggers, texters, and loving phone messages - you have all helped to inspire Tommy and I to remain strong. We know you all feel a little helpless and want to help more. Trust us your words are strength that we are relying on. I feel bad not responding to each of you individually, but please know how much we appreciate you.
We love each and every one of you - Give you updates as we get them.
Chloe absolutely adores Taylor Swift and of course my dad spoiled her once again by taking her to her concert last Spring. He had such a blast and called us constantly telling us how funny - quiet Chloe was. She danced, sang, and had a smile ear to ear the whole time. She came home and couldn't stop telling up about it and how Taylor hugged her. I'm so happy Chloe is able to have these amazing experiences and share them with you Dad. Thanks. Here's a picture of Chloe and Katie when they got home showing me how they boogied.

Thanks for the early report. We are all reading anxiously. We will do our part today to take care of Grandpa Gary. Stay strong. Today has to be easier than yesterday. Our prayers are with you.

ReplyDeleteChloe is certainly in our prayers and I know the prayers of many. I can only imagine your pain at seeing her like she is. I think the pain of our children is much worse that our own. She is so blessed to have such a loving and supportive family and friends. God bless you and God bless the Doctors and those who treat her.
