Chloe was extemely stressed about surgery today. On our drive to the hospital she was crying. Now that she knows what's coming, she is totally freaked out. We put numbing cream on her hands for the IV (thanks Veronica and Miranda for the great idea). She still wigged out, and they couldn't get a good vein. Instead, she went into the operating room awake, and they put a gas mask on to put her out. When she woke up her throat hurt badly due to the intabation tube and because she threw up. She was mad and loud in the Recovery Room. I think she scared the nurse.
She had a bean cup from Taco Lita on her way home. She had a bath and took a long nap. She just woke up and isn't feeling so hot.
Thank you Mehlovitch Family for the homemade boo boo bag. You are so kind. Thank you Uncle Robbie for the Taco Lita gift certificates. We already used some today. Chloe could eat it all day every day!

Nicole: You didn't say: did they take out the screws behind her ears and the screws in her mouth, too? Is she able to fully eat regular food yet? Give her a hug and tell her we love her. Maybe she can come her next week? What do you think?? :)
ReplyDeleteI hope Chloe had a better day today. What did the Dr say about her rash now that he saw it? Taco Lita is always the cure-all and can turn a bad day into a good one. :) Looking forward to getting the girls together again soon. Makenzie misses you, Chloe!

ReplyDeleteI was amazed to see how great you looked tonight. So much of the swelling has gone down. You were so happy to show me that the wires inside your mouth were gone. Now you can smile again! You also seemed to be your old self. I am so very, very happy. I see definite improvement! You're our sweet Chloegirl!! Sleep tight!
